Leisure facilities are not free to hotel guests. Bedrooms do not have double beds. Airport hotel bus service is cheap and great for this hotel.
Top Tip
Good pub/ restaurant the Arsenal and very reasonably priced.

It's good, although in the off season the hotel was very quiet, but so long as you dont have really great/over high expectations it's great.
Top Tip
Definitely see the local architecture, but see the other parts of Riga not intended solely for tourists.

Big imposing place with a soviet-hangover feel. Excellent location in the Old Town with views to the Opera House and Gardens from our room. Room ok- not 4 star standard but good enough with clean bathroom, reasonable shower and TV that received BBC World News. Staff were generally helpful and no problems were encountered throughout the stay. Gave facilities 3 because I wasn't bothered about the casino or sauna, but this may appeal to other people. Overall excellent value for money.
Top Tip
Go to the sky bar at the Reval Hotel (10 min walk north from Hotel Riga) -great place for a drink but be prepared for ridiculous prices. Liv Square a good bet for food, drink and nice atmosphere at night. For history buffs the Museum of Occupation is surprisingly good. Bar 'I Love You' near the Swedish Gate is a good bet for somewhere a bit different, with decent music and a great selection of cocktails.
