This is a budget hotel a little away from the main tourist areas so best suited to those who are on a strict budget and looking simply for a place to act as a base.

The Jurnieks Hotel is housed in an old Soviet 5-storey apartment house, which is a true eyesore from the outside, but boasts an attractively remodelled designer interior. The guestrooms are small but properly renovated with excellent beds, cable TV and modern bathrooms with showers. Rooms on the ground floor are designed to allow easy access for disabled guests. There is also a café-bar for 40 people, where you can have breakfast, lunch & dinner as well as a sauna for relaxing after a busy day sightseeing.

     will use the hotel again when I transit through Riga....             I enjoyed my brief stay...             hotel is an oasis ...
