The property was built in 1984 and was named Ridzene after the river that once flowed where it stands today. Completely renovated in 1999, the hotel features a stunning exterior and 5-storey high lobby. It has a glass lift in the centre, as well as a running waterfall, chandeliers and marble floors. Decorated in brown and beige colours, all guest rooms are medium sized and fully equipped. Situated under a striking glass pyramid, the hotel's "Piramida" restaurant serves international cuisine.
